Java Champion, Author, Speaker
Mala Gupta is the first woman in Asia to be recognized as an Oracle Java Champion, an internationally recognized Java author, speaker, technology leader, and the author of four best-selling Java books published by Manning Publications, helping developers worldwide master Java and advance their careers.
For over two decades, she has been shaping the global Java ecosystem as an author, speaker, technology leader, and community builder. She has spoken at leading international conferences including JavaOne, Oracle Code One, DevNexus, JBCN, JDConf, GIDS, Eclipse Day, and numerous Java User Groups and universities around the world.
A recognized leader in the global Java ecosystem, Mala has created and led developer initiatives that have reached thousands of developers worldwide. She conceived and led flagship programs including JetBrains Technology Day for Java, IntelliJ IDEA Conf, and the IntelliJ IDEA Livestreams, bringing together leading Java experts to share practical knowledge with the global developer community. She has also served on the program committees for major conferences such as JavaOne and JakartaOne, helping shape technical content and mentoring conference speakers.
Mala co-leads the Delhi Java User Group, one of India's most active Java communities. She also co-founded KaagZevar.com, a platform dedicated to nurturing creativity as an essential life skill. Until its reorganization, she served as one of the Directors of Women Who Code Delhi, championing initiatives that supported women in technology and fostering a more inclusive developer community.
